Yes hello, I still breathe.

I am sure you been wondering and wanting to ask me many questions, such as; Have you seen my keys? Do you owe me five bucks still? Do you understand string theory? Are you any good at maths? what have you been up to? why haven't you been posting things?

OK, probably not, but to simply answer; no I have not seen them, I never have nor ever will, no I do not, I still get hypotenuse confused with hippopotamus from time to time... ok that one is a bit of a stretch

as for the other two questions

I been doing lots of random things, I have done some gardening to grow some plants in my yard, mostly flowers and two chili plants (haven't figured what I'll do with them considering I don't eat chilies), I had an idea and created something out of wood (nearly done) and made a prototype out of clay to figure how possible it would be (I'll have a photo of them up eventually)

oh and I got new lens to do photos with so been mucking around with that and trying to learn how to use it properly

I found a wasp nest in my yard when looking for thing to take photos of, think it was yellow jackets as they were in the ground so no native and got stung on the face, that was fun, no severe allergic reaction to it thankfully

as for why I haven't been placing stuff up here? submitting things feels always a bit odd, what is endorsed what is seen, I feel at times this is not as welcoming or a homely as it once was so to speak. Then there are values and people thoughts on it, some users place a lot of random stuff that is questionable (may they consider it serious art or placing something on the site for the shits and giggles etc), then there times I feel out of depth, I see some of the stuff and feel outclassed

even at times just looking at the photos I do get me all frazzled, don't even know why

I don't know man.... I just feel out of it, both mentally and physically, the world has gone to shit one way or another, the plus side is no one set fire to a car in my street for the entire year, so that a start

oh and learnt to cook random stuff and failed cooking random stuff like glutenous rice dumplings (roughly "haam sui gok" but I did it with pork instead of prawns/shrimps) I have gotten the nicknamed "BP disaster" for how much oil I have used, haha

I enjoy making chicken schnitzels among other things...

hope you lot are doing well and keeping out of trouble or at least not getting in as much trouble

Last weeks fire

2 min read
so last week, a fire broke out last week across the river, it was pretty big, they had made a containment line on my side of the river incase it jumped
here's a photo from my backyard
2018 fire by WolfBlitz2

folks investigating the incident reckon it was started up by firebugs around casula and had spread to moorebank, parts of the holsworthy army base, pleasure point, sandy point and alfords point and to parts of menai. they evacuated the shopping centre there apparently.
haven't heard of anyone being injured from it and only minor property damage so it seems everyone came out lucky from it
I bet it was started by students because it was the beginning of the school holidays when it happened
but then again there was planned back burning on the sunday and with the weekend being windy it was called off, it could have been some eager RFS member
I think I took the picture around 7 or 8 at night
by the next day there was heaps of helicopters flying around and a sea place flying to and from the the area, I think it might have been evacuating people out of the area
afterwards, there was hell of a lot of smoke, probably from the mop up operation and making more containment lines
lot of it has calmed down now

Nat's top tip

Today's lesson: if something doesn't feel right, go with gut instinct.
In other news: I nearly burnt my face and hands with a portable gas cooker
20/20 hindsight at it's best
